In an unprecedented move, the U.S. state of California and its West Coast partners are rejecting new federal vaccine guidelines set by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It follows controversial revisions of vaccine guidelines carried out at the agency by the Trump-appointed Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
