Conducted more than 10 cross-border evidence collection trips, contacted over 300 individuals, met with more than 70 of them, but only around 30 provided truthful information. That speaks volumes about the immense difficulty in uncovering the truth about Unit 731, a notorious division of the Japanese Imperial Army. Personal recantations, coupled with political interference, have prevented the crimes of Unit 731 from ever receiving the punishment they deserved. Yet, they reveal an undeniable fact: Some criminals continue to evade justice and some evil ideologies still spread unchecked. Uncovering the truth isn't about perpetuating hatred. It's about ensuring such atrocities are never committed again. If we turn a blind eye to history, how can we possibly create the future that the next generation deserves?
