China is the second-largest contributor to the United Nations' regular budget and peacekeeping operations budget in 2025. There has been a dramatic rise in China's contribution to the UN regular budget, with the rate surging from less than 1 percent in 2000 to over 20 percent in 2025. China has also made additional voluntary contributions to UN programs through funds such as the Peace and Development Trust Fund and the Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund. The following graphic illustrates China's increasing financial support to the UN.
