They come from different ethnic groups - Kirgiz, Han, Kazakh, Tibetan, and Uygur. Yet their lives are similar: Going to school, making friends, chasing dreams, and enjoying life. This is the everyday reality of young people from Xinjiang. In their dorms, they learn each other's languages and spend weekends exploring local sights. Friendship knows no boundaries. When misunderstood or unfairly criticized by the outside world, they may feel indignation, but more often than not, they just shrug it off. For them, Xinjiang is not a mystery, nor is it a story crafted by others, but their home. It is their say. It is their lives.
