An international seminar on counterterrorism was held on Tuesday in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with officials and scholars from more than 20 countries and regions gathering to discuss the importance of countering terrorism and extremism, as well as strengthening joint efforts.
