Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Monday emphasized the importance of strengthening and broadening China's economic recovery and positive growth path, as well as working toward the country's yearly economic and social development goals.

Chairing the ninth plenary meeting of the State Council, Li emphasized the need to take a comprehensive and balanced view of the economic situation, actively respond to various uncertainties, ensure the effective implementation of the decisions and arrangements of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and work towards the best possible outcomes through concrete actions.

He emphasized the need to improve the effectiveness of macroeconomic policy implementation, concentrate on key priorities to bolster the domestic economy, and utilize its stability and long-term growth to buffer against global uncertainties.

He urged efforts to keep unlocking consumption potential, systematically remove restrictive measures in the consumption sector, and accelerate the development of new growth drivers such as services consumption and innovative forms of consumption.

He said that solid measures should be taken to strengthen the stable trend of the property market, emphasizing the promotion of deep integration of science and technology with industrial innovation, the steady advance of high-standard opening up, and the orderly expansion of both voluntary and unilateral opening up.

The premier said that more efforts should be made to maintain employment stability, ensure people's well-being, improve workplace safety oversight, and strengthen disaster prevention, reduction, and relief.
