According to data revealed at a press conference held by the National Immigration Administration today, China introduced and implemented a visa-free policy in the first half of 2025 for ASEAN tourist groups entering Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, while also adding Indonesia to the list of countries eligible for China's 240-hour transit visa-free policy. The National Immigration Administration has actively collaborated with relevant departments to streamline processes for foreign personnel regarding payment, accommodation, transportation, and other services, effectively boosting exchanges between Chinese and foreign personnel as well as economic and trade cooperation.

Data reveals that in the first half of the year, 13.64 million foreigners entered China without a visa, accounting for 71.2 percent of total foreign entries – a 53.9 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
