The South Korean government on Tuesday formally set June 3 as the date for the next presidential election.
The decision was made at a cabinet meeting four days after former President Yoon Suk-yeol was ousted from office as the country's constitutional court upheld a motion by the parliament to impeach him over his short-lived martial law imposition last December.
