March 21 marks International Forest Day, designated by the United Nations in recognition of the role forests play in sustaining life. But in places like California, forests are under siege from increasing wildfires, which have outpaced forest regeneration efforts. Experts say climate change, unpredictable weather patterns and a prolonged drought are adding to the challenge. CGTN's Ediz Tiyansan reports from Los Angeles.
